Frequently Asked Questions

How do I reset my password?

Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. Enter your email and follow the instructions. Check your spam folder if you don't see the email.

Can I edit a document after submitting it?

No — once submitted, it's locked for review. If the Ministry rejects it, you'll receive feedback and can make corrections before resubmitting.

What file formats can I upload?

PDF, Excel (.xlsx, .xls), and CSV. Maximum file size is 10MB.

How do I add many suppliers at once?

Use the Bulk Import feature in the My Suppliers section. Download the template, fill in your supplier details, and upload.

What qualifies as a "local" company?

A company is Local if classified as Citizen Owned (≥51% Zambian ownership) or Citizen Empowered (≥25% Zambian ownership). Companies below 25% are Non-Local. This is determined from the beneficial ownership disclosure.

What's the difference between Core and Non-Core goods/services?

Core (First Schedule) goods/services may be sourced from local or non-local suppliers, subject to progressive thresholds (20% → 40%) and the 15% Margin of Preference.

Non-Core (Second Schedule) goods/services are 100% reserved for local companies. Non-local suppliers cannot be awarded non-core contracts.

I can't see Compliance Reports or Penalties. Why?

These tiles are only visible to Company Administrators. Ask your company's admin to grant you appropriate permissions.

Why do my summaries show "System Generated"?

Procurement summaries are automatically generated by the system each quarter and updated as your tenders are approved. You don't create them — just review and submit.

Who do I contact for help?

Your MMMD Officer's contact details are in the Quick Links sidebar on every page. For technical issues, contact the Ministry of Mines helpdesk.
